Healthy Recipe: After Workout Bars

You can lose weight over 40!

2 cups oats (flakes)
1 T. Flaxseed
4 scoops protein powder (vanilla seems to work best)

1/2 cup natural peanut butter or almond butter

1/2 cup water

Mix all of that together, put in a 9×9 glass pan lined with wax paper. Freeze for 30 minutes. When you take it out of the freezer let it sit on the counter for 15 minutes or so. Remove the wax paper and cut the bars into even squares.

This is a perfectly balanced snack of protein carbohydrates and fat.

*variations*
You can add in chopped walnuts and craisins. If you do just adjust the water amount.
