Healthy Recipe: After Workout Bars

Have these delicious after workout bars as a healthy snack following your workout! This is a perfectly balanced snack of protein carbohydrates and fat.
Recipe type: Snack
  • 2 cups oats (flakes)
  • 1 T. Flaxseed
  • 4 scoops protein powder (vanilla seems to work best)
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter or almond butter
  • ½ cup water
  1. Mix all of that together, put in a 9x9 glass pan lined with wax paper.
  2. Freeze for 30 minutes.When you take it out of the freezer let it sit on the counter for 15 minutes or so.
  3. Remove the wax paper and cut the bars into even squares.

  5. You can add in chopped walnuts and craisins. If you do just adjust the water amount.
