First, be sure you are eating because you are hungry not because you are happy or sad. When you eat for the right reasons, you will most likely not eat too much, and won’t gain extra non-baby weight. Eat till the point that you are satisfied rather than finishing a huge plate of food and feeling terrible. There isn’t much room in your body with the growing baby, so it’s even more important to listen to your body and feed it a little at time.
Second, keep exercising even when pregnant. Go to your gym and keep doing what you’ve always been doing but less intensely, listening to your body. Also, try any new classes that are less impact like a pool class. Or if you don’t have a membership, exercise at home. Have a look at some of the most popular programs here.
