Here’s a healthy way to make french toast. You don’t have the give everything up to be healthy and fit! Enjoy!
Ingredients:
2 slices Sprouted Grain, Spelt or Rice bread or other healthy bread
2 whole eggs
oil spray
Maple Syrup or Apple Sauce (no sugar added)
Cinnamon to taste
Directions:
Beat the 2 eggs in a bowl large enough to fit one slice of bread. Dip the bread and let it soak for a minute or two to make sure it is coated generously with the egg mixture. Heat a pan (on low to medium) large enough for 1 or 2 slices of bread. Spray pan with oil or melt a little butter if you don’t have the spray oil. Once the pan is coated with oil, add the bread coated with the egg mixture. Cook the bread on each side for 3-4 minutes covered. Be sure the pan is on low or med low heat. Serve with maple syrup (1 tsp per slice is more than enough) or topped with apple sauce and cinnamon.
